Scott Keen was established in 1971 and at that time it was known simply as Scott & Co. It has since then steadily expanded and are able to provide a range of legal services under the care of specialist teams.

In July 2005 the partnership of Scott Keen was converted to a limited liability partnership (LLP) with two members, Christine Morgan and Graham Penna. An LLP is a new form of corporate identity with the benefits of a limited company but more akin to a traditional partnership. It is a separate legal entity responsible for its own assets and liabilities, and while the LLP will be liable to the full extent of its assets, the personal liability of the members is limited. A contract with an LLP is not a contract with any of its individual members or employees who all act on behalf of the LLP.

We feel that the LLP will give us the organisational flexibility to expand the firm in the future.

The firm has in the past invested heavily in technology giving us access to the latest forms of electronic information to enable us to provide a professional, efficient and cost-effective service to our clients locally, nationally and internationally.
